Everything you can do with SabiQuiz

SabiQuiz writes a quiz for you from a topic, a web page, a PDF, a PowerPoint or a Word document, lets you build and save your own, and runs it live on everyone's phone. Here is every feature, and which plans have it.

Create quizzes instantly with AI

Start from a topic, a web page, or the document you already have.

  • Topic-to-SabiQuiz generator (AI-assisted)

Type a subject and get a ready-to-play quiz in seconds. Choose 5, 10 or 15 questions, the difficulty and the timer, then play it alone or host it live for a room.

    Every plan

  • URL-to-SabiQuiz generator (AI-assisted)

Paste the address of a web page and the questions are written from what the page says, so a quiz about your own handbook, article or lesson page stays on topic.

    Every plan

  • PDF-to-SabiQuiz generator (AI-assisted)

Choose a PDF and the AI writes questions about it. The file is opened on your own device and is not uploaded: you see the text first, can pick a page range or edit it, and only that text goes to the AI.

    Every plan

  • PowerPoint-to-SabiQuiz generator (AI-assisted)

Choose a PowerPoint (.pptx) file and the questions come from the text on its slides. Hidden slides are skipped, and speaker notes and pictures are not read.

    Every plan

  • Word-to-SabiQuiz generator (AI-assisted)

Choose a Word (.docx) document and turn a handout, a chapter or lecture notes into a quiz. Like a PDF, it is opened on your device rather than uploaded.

    Every plan

  • Photo-of-notes-to-SabiQuiz generator (AI-assisted)

Photograph handwritten or printed notes, up to four photos, and the text is read for you to check and fix before any questions are written. Unlike a file, a photo is sent to an AI provider to be read; SabiQuiz does not keep it. Pro, Team and Day Pass.

Free: no, Educator: no, Pro: yes, Team: yes

  • Text-to-SabiQuiz generator (AI-assisted)

No file? Paste notes or an article into the box, trim it to what matters, and the questions are written from exactly that text.

    Every plan

  • Choose multiple choice, True/False or a mix

Ask the AI for multiple choice, True/False, or a mix. Players see a blue diamond for True and a red triangle for False, so the answer tiles are quick to read on a phone.

    Every plan

  • Practice test style (AI-assisted)

Ask for a practice test and the questions are written the way a real exam on the subject would be: they cover the whole of it, about half ask you to apply a concept rather than recall a fact, and the wrong answers are the mistakes people really make.

    Educator, Pro and Team

  • Vocabulary review style (AI-assisted)

Ask for a vocabulary review and each question is about one word or term of the subject: what it means, which word fits a meaning, or which sentence uses it correctly. It works for a school subject, an exam word list or a language.

    Educator, Pro and Team

  • Document length per quiz

The Free plan reads about 4 pages of a document and the paid plans about 10. If yours is longer, pick the page range you want quizzed.

About 4 pages on Free, up to About 10 pages on Team

  • AI-generated quizzes per day

A daily allowance of AI-generated quizzes on every plan: 3 on Free, up to 200 on Team. Quizzes you write yourself never count against it.

3 on Free, up to 200 on Team

Write, save and organise your quizzes

Your own questions, kept where you can find them and shared with whoever needs them.

  • Quiz builder: write your own

Write your own questions in the quiz builder, edit them in place, and keep your draft safe if the page is refreshed. Writing by hand is unlimited and does not use your AI allowance.

    Every plan

  • CSV template import

Already have questions in a spreadsheet? Download the CSV template, fill in the rows (True/False, multi-select and type-answer rows too), and import the lot.

    Every plan

  • Pictures in questions

Add a picture to any question. It is resized on your device, stripped of camera and location data, and given a text description for people who cannot see it.

    Every plan

  • Multi-select questions

A multi-select question has four options and more than one of them is right. Players choose all they think apply and press Submit, and an answer counts only if it is exactly the right set. Write them in the quiz builder, import them from a CSV, or ask the AI for a quiz of them.

    Educator, Pro and Team

  • Type-answer questions

In a type-answer question there are no options: players type a short answer. Capital letters, punctuation and extra spaces do not matter, and you can list up to five answers that count, such as "USA" and "United States". Write them in the quiz builder, import them from a CSV, or ask the AI for a quiz of them.

    Educator, Pro and Team

  • Saved quizzes (Quiz Bank)

Save quizzes to your Quiz Bank and play or host them again: 10 saved quizzes on Free and unlimited on the paid plans.

10 on Free, up to Unlimited on Team

  • Up to 500 questions in a saved quiz

A saved quiz can hold up to 500 questions, even though one game plays up to 50.

    Every plan

  • Random sets from a big quiz, without repeats

Choose how many questions to play from a big quiz and every game draws a fresh random set. It takes questions you have not played yet until you have been through all of them, so you never get the same twenty twice in a row.

    Every plan

  • Shared team workspace

Give a team one shared quiz library for up to 25 people and 500 quizzes, with owners, admins, editors and viewers. The people you invite join free.

    Team plan

Host a live game, or play alone

Everything the room sees, from the join screen to the podium.

  • Players per live game

Host a live game for 20 players on Free, and up to 500 on the Team plan. The cap grows with the plan: Educator, Pro and Team each raise it.

20 on Free, up to 500 on Team

  • Join with a PIN or QR code, no app

Players join with a six-digit PIN or by scanning a QR code, on any phone, with nothing to install and no account to make.

    Every plan

  • Solo play

Play alone to practise: timed questions, instant scoring, and a review of every answer afterwards. Your own saved quizzes are one tap away on the Solo tab.

    Every plan

  • Live leaderboard and final podium

A live leaderboard between questions and a podium at the end keep a room awake and cheering.

    Every plan

  • Global leaderboard and seasons

The global leaderboard ranks scores from every game this season, so there is always something to climb.

    Every plan

  • Hard difficulty

Hard difficulty asks the AI for tougher questions. Easy and Medium are on every plan.

    Educator, Pro and Team

  • Read aloud

Switch on Read aloud and the question and its answers are spoken as each one appears, then the right answer once it is known. It uses your device's own voice, so nothing is sent anywhere, and it helps anyone who would rather listen than read, in a classroom or on a phone.

    Every plan

  • Team mode

Turn on team mode in the lobby and split the room into 2 to 8 named teams. Players are dealt into the smallest team as they join and can change team until the game starts. Everyone still answers for themselves, and a team's score is the average of its players' scores, so a bigger team has no advantage. The teams are ranked between questions and on the final podium, and the report keeps how each team did.

Free: no, Educator: no, Pro: yes, Team: yes

  • Nine themes, light and dark

Nine themes, each in light and dark. The host's theme shows on every player's screen for the length of the game, and every plan has all nine.

    Every plan

Set a quiz as work

A link, a deadline, and a page that shows who did it.

  • Assigned quizzes with a deadline

Turn a quiz into an assignment: choose a deadline, how long each question is and how many tries a student gets, and share one link or code. Students open it on any phone with no account, type a nickname and play. You can hide the right answers while they play, move the deadline, close it, or reopen it. Someone part-way through when it closes has an hour to finish.

    Educator, Pro and Team

  • Results by student and by question

For each assignment, see who started and finished with their scores, and how many chose each option on every question, with a CSV of the students and of the questions. Results are kept for 12 months after the deadline.

Questions people ask

Can SabiQuiz write a practice test or a vocabulary review?
Yes, on the paid plans. Choose Practice test and the AI writes exam-style questions that cover the whole subject and ask you to apply it; choose Vocabulary review and each question is about one word or term. Both work from a topic, a web page or a document you choose, with multiple choice, True/False or a mix. A standard AI quiz is free on every plan.
Which SabiQuiz features are free?
Most of them. Every plan can make quizzes with AI (3 a day on Free), build its own quizzes, add pictures and True/False questions, import a CSV, host live games for up to 20 players, and use all nine themes. The paid plans add more players and more AI quizzes, Hard difficulty, practice-test and vocabulary-review quizzes, multi-select and type-answer questions, quizzes from a photo of notes (Pro and Team), assigned quizzes with a deadline, team mode (Pro and Team), longer documents, full game reports and the historical analytics dashboard, and the Team plan adds a shared workspace.
Is the document I choose uploaded?
No. A PDF, Word or PowerPoint file is opened on your own device. You see the text it contains before anything is sent, you can edit or trim it, and only that text goes to the AI that writes the questions. SabiQuiz does not keep the file or its text.
How many questions can a quiz have?
A saved quiz can hold up to 500 questions and one game plays up to 50. If your quiz is bigger than a game, choose how many to play and each game draws a fresh random set, using questions you have not played yet before it starts again.
Do players need an account or an app?
No. Players join a live game with a PIN or by scanning a QR code in the browser on their phone. An account is needed only to make quizzes with AI or to save them.
Can SabiQuiz read the questions aloud?
Yes. Press the Read aloud button on the game screen and each question is spoken with its answers, followed by the right answer once it is shown. It works on the host's screen, for a whole room, and on a player's own phone, and it is free on every plan. It uses the voice built into your device, so nothing is sent to a server.
Can I write my own questions instead of using AI?
Yes. The quiz builder lets you write multiple choice and True/False questions, add pictures, and import a spreadsheet, on every plan and with no daily limit. Quizzes you write yourself do not use your AI allowance.
